Here we go again.

When WoW Forever finally opened its doors for closed beta pre-purchase early access at 2:00 PM EST on a Thursday, optimism was already hanging by a thread for many in the community. But whatever goodwill Blizzard had managed to build up with their recent announcements was torched within the first sixty minutes.

If you paid $60 or $80 for the pre-purchase tiers specifically to dive into early access, your reward was a front-row seat to an absolute, unmitigated clusterfuck.

1. The 30+ Minute Queue and Disconnect Loop

The immediate bottleneck hit right at the login screen. Players were instantly greeted by staggering queue times stretching past 30 minutes.

2. History Repeated: The Blizzard Launch Special

What makes this sting the most is the sheer predictability of it.

3. Punishing Your Most Dedicated (and Paying) Fans

This wasn't even an open, free-for-all launch. This was a closed beta early access phase gated behind hefty $60 and $80 pre-purchase price tags.

Did you manage to dodge the queues today, or are you currently staring at a 40-minute wait timer like the rest of us?
